Sanctuary Services

All Shamanic Sanctuaries includes sacrament. A sanctuary is space where each individual gets an immersive experience for healing, empowerment, and spiritual alignment. Each sacrament is ethically sourced from indigenous tribes of South America and Africa. All contributions help to support the medicine men and women who help to create these sacred medicines. We offer local and online group services and private sessions.

Honoring Tradition and Navigating Economic Realities in Shamanic Services

In the realm of shamanic work, practitioners are often motivated by a genuine desire to help, with financial gain being secondary. However, establishing a reasonable contribution becomes essential for both the practitioner's commitment and the client's appreciation of the service.

Traditionally, shamanic work in tribal societies involved barter systems, exchanging services, livestock, or food for healing. In today's world, practitioners must consider the economic conditions of their community. While some opt for donation-based services, others set a minimum contribution, often open to negotiation or service exchange.

Energy Medicine

Energy medicine has existed since the beginning of time and has many different names across the cultures. Energy medicine is a modality that uses the healing power of GOD or THE GREAT SPIRIT and its many levels of expression to assist us in growth and enlightenment. Amongst the Yorubas of West Africa it is known as Ase, the Igbos call it Chi, the Dogon, Nyama and the Bantus of Central, East and South Africa call it Mana, the Zulus Ithongo and for the Akans it is the Sunsum. The earliest recorded form of energy medicine began in Ancient Kemet, the practice of NINI which refers to its healing power of life force energy as Sekhem.

Plant Medicine

Plants existed before human beings. It is common knowledge among indigenous practitioners that plants hold more memory and wisdom than humans since they existed longer. Plants, herbs, fungi, etc are used is various ways to help heal ailments of the mind, body, and spirit. The plant kingdom also carries wisdom within, that helps the recipient find clarity, peace, and awareness. Different plants serve different purpose and all ceremonies require a consultation to ensure that the session desired is aligned with intention.

Animal Medicine

Animal medicine is used as a guide for character development, awakening, qualities, and also healing the mind body and spirit. AkhuRa Temple takes great care in vetting all clients and associated Medicine Men and women to ensure authenticity and safety. Some of the sacrament used in our Temple are in a more authentic state versus the amount of processing and added laboratory chemicals used in the medical industry.

Multiple Sessions:

Shamanic healing may involve multiple sessions or a single transformative session, depending on the practitioner's approach. Clients can discuss their preferences and financial constraints, and practitioners may recommend suitable alternatives if needed.

If members find themselves in endless sessions without improvement, open communication  is crucial. An effective shaman communicates the reasons for multiple sessions clearly, and clients can seek a second opinion if needed.

We emphasize effectiveness over the number of sessions, encouraging clients to trust the process while ensuring transparency and clear communication with their chosen shamanic practitioner.

Considering Contributions:

Shamanic healing requires extensive preparation and energy, involving calls to spirits, diagnostic journeys, and sometimes, significant groundwork before the actual session. Practitioners create an energetic container, expanding their energy field to hold the healing space, a task that demands concentration and effort, especially in group settings.

For specific practices like shamanic extraction or soul retrieval, the healer invests considerable energy to remove blocks or retrieve missing pieces. Some practitioners offer follow-up sessions without additional charges to ensure a complete healing process.
